Yoga shabd sanskrit ke 'yuj' dhatu se bana hai jiska arth hai 'jodna' ya 'ek kar na'. Yoga sharir, man aur aatma ko ek karne ki kriya hai. Patanjali yoga sutra mein yoga ko 'chitta vritti nirodh' kaha gaya hai - yani mann ki vrittiyon ko rokna.
Isme asan aur pranayama par zor diya jata hai. Hatha yoga sharir ko majboot aur laachil banata hai.
Raj yoga dhyan aur samadhi par kendrit hai. Isme mann ko vash mein karna sikhaya jata hai.
Karma yoga mein bina fal ki ichcha ke kaam karne par bhashan diya gaya hai.
Bhakti yoga mein ishwar ke prati samarpana aur prem par zor diya jata hai.
Pranayama ka arth hai pran ka vistar - yani saans par niyantran. Kuch mahatvapurn pranayama:

CBSE Class 11 Shaaririk Shiksha ke paathyakram mein yoga ko mahatvapurn sthan diya gaya hai. Iska uddeshya hai ki vidyarthi yoga ke maadhyam se apne sharir aur mann ko swasth rakh sake. Yoga ke niyamit abhyas se na keval physical fitness badhti hai balki mental clarity bhi aati hai.
Yoga ko apne daily routine mein shamil karna chahiye. Surya namaskar se din ki shuruaat karna, ya phir kuch minit dhyan karna, bahut labhdayak ho sakta hai. Class 11 ke students ke liye yoga ke asan aur pranayama ki practice zaroori hai kyunki yah exams aur life ke doosre challenges se nipatne mein madad karta hai.
