Yeh chapter electric potential, potential energy, aur capacitors ke concepts ko cover karta hai. Isme aap potential difference, equipotential surfaces, dielectric, aur capacitor ke combination ke baare mein padhenge. Board exams ke liye yeh bahut important topic hai. Neeche diye gaye notes se aapko saare key points, formulas aur derivations ek jagah mil jayenge.
Electric potential (V) ek scalar quantity hai jo unit positive charge ko infinity se kisi point tak lane mein kiye gaye kaam ko batata hai. Potenital difference (VAB) do points ke beech ka potential ka antar hai. SI unit volt (V) hai.
Kisi point charge Q se r distance par potential ka formula: V = (1/4πε0) * (Q / r). Ye formula sirf point charge ke liye valid hai. Bahut sare charges ke liye superposition principle lagao – total potential alag-alag charges ke potential ka sum hota hai.
Equipotential surface wo surface hai jiske har point par potential same hota hai. Characteristics:
System ki electric potential energy wo energy hai jo particles ke rakhne aur unke beech electrostatic interactions ki vajah se store hoti hai. Do point charges Q1 aur Q2 ke liye potential energy: U = (1/4πε0) * (Q1Q2 / r). Agar charges same type ke hain to positive energy, opposite type ke negative.
Capacitor ek device hai jo electric charge aur energy store karta hai. Capacitance (C) charge (Q) aur potential difference (V) ka ratio hai: C = Q / V. SI unit farad (F) hai. Capacitance conductor ke size, shape aur uske aas-paas ke dielectric material par depend karta hai.
Do parallel plates ke beech mein agar dielectric nahi hai to capacitance: C = ε0 A / d, jahan A = plate ka area, d = plate ke beech gap hai. Dielectric material dalne par capacitance badh jata hai: Cm = K C0, jahan K = dielectric constant.
Dielectric wo insulator hota hai jo electric field mein polarization se charge store kar sakta hai. Dielectric constant K material ki property hai. Dielectric dalne se capacitor ka breakdown voltage bhi increase hota hai.
Series mein lagaye capacitors ka total capacitance: 1/Ceq = 1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3 + ... . Series mein charge same hota hai, voltage alag.
Parallel mein lagaye capacitors ka total capacitance: Ceq = C1 + C2 + C3 + ... . Parallel mein voltage same hota hai, charge add hota hai.
Yeh notes aapko Class 12 Physics ke is chapter ke core concepts samajhne mein help karenge. Baar-baar revision karein aur numerical problems practice karein. Board exam mein is chapter se kareeb 10-15 marks ke sawaal aate hain.
